The setting is lovely, the courtyard is lovely, but something is missing from this place that makes it feel a little impersonal and lacking attention to detail. A small example, strolling the grounds, we noticed that the garden beds weren’t neatly trimmed and were in some places a bit **** choked, like an industrial size mower had come through but nothing more precise than that. The lobby furnishings photograph well but in person have that mid tier hotel feel. The staff is personable and helpful, I especially remember the gentleman bartender, but overall I was not impressed with this property and would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel overall is not bad but the value is not there. The showers are ridiculous they do not have the proper toiletries and the front desk staff needs serious customer service training. The bar and restaurant staff are friendly and fantastic. Whatever you do, don’t have your laundry done. They will lose it and it smells horrible. The hotel needs to be tended to. I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

We stayed for two nights and the start and end of a cycle trip. Our stay was fantastic, with a beautiful room, lovely pool and spa area and an excellent restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The staff were all super friendly and the location/views are great

This charming Relais in Piedmont Italy is now an SLH Hyatt property. My wife and I stayed here for three nights while visiting Alba for the White Truffle Festival. It's conveniently located about 20 minutes from Alba in the beautiful country side of Piedmont surrounded by Hazelnut trees and it is close to many wineries in the Barolo/Barbaresco region. Our room was nicely appointed with a super comfy bed a sitting room and a large bathroom. The hotel is small but very attractive. They have a fabulous restaurant which is the traditional restaurant and they have a Michelin star restaurant which was not operating while we were there. We had white truffles every night. They have a spa and an outdoor pool which we actually used because the weather was so warm. The service was good while not being over the top. It is a very pleasant place to stay if you ever visit this region of Italy

We are fortunate travelers and stayed here three days in 2023, so we returned and stayed three nights in April 2024. Excellent service, spotless room, wonderful food, friendly staff. The restaurant, wines, food and service was perfect! We hope to return! Thank you!

This is truly a 5 star property. First class service with beautiful rooms…some have views of the Alps. Heated pool, luxurious spa and hot tub for relaxation times. Gourmet restaurant a bit pricy but worth it but included in the room price is a complimentary breakfast. Amazingly helpful staff who are well trained in the art of hospitality. From beginning to end, it’s a wonderful property. Now the only downside I could think of is that it is 20-25 minutes outside of Alba. Without a car, it would cost about €60 one way into the city. No taxis are available to and from the property. But, don’t let that stop you from enjoying this slice of Italian heaven on earth.

Villa D’Amelia is the most beautiful place to stay…the staff and their attention to detail is most appreciated, our room is perfection…large and beautifully appointed. The restaurant, food and beautiful wines we have enjoyed, and the service are world class…thank you!

We had chosen this hotel because it is centrally located in the Piedmont region. We were pleasantly surprised by the location and beautiful views upon arrival. Check-in went very smoothly, and we were helped with our luggage. We were able to park the car sheltered next to the hotel. Our room was on the first floor, and we had a small garden with chairs and sunbeds. The room had good air conditioning, which kept the temperature comfortable. The room was spotless and well-maintained. The bathroom is a little small but ample. There is no separate shower, so you must stand in the bathtub; the shower head is not very big but has a powerful water jet. The beds were comfortable, and the garden doors of the room could be opened at night because there was an insect screen door. Breakfast is served in the morning on the terrace with plenty of parasols. There is no buffet; you can order unlimited from the menu. All the dishes we had were very well taken care of. In the courtyard, you can sit and enjoy a drink. The pool on the side of the hotel is entirely in the sun, and the sunbeds are very close together, and there are not enough spots with shade. All the staff were very friendly and very service oriented.
